For many years I struggled with the challenges of coping with serious mental disorders that left me feeling confused, lonely, stigmatized and hopeless at times. All too often I was frustrated and eventually exasperated with the cycles of extreme imbalance. The key to my successful recovery was in my choice of mentors along with the right kind of support and information. They helped me learn what it takes to have peace of mind, to function well everyday, and enjoy the pleasures of a gratifying job and a satisfying relationship.
For the past ten years I've been working in community mental health where I have successfully helped hundreds of people move from a place of hopelessness to living a life filled with meaningful work and satisfying relationships. I know from personal experience the high level of safety, trust and determination that is needed to recover. I am driven by the passion, the knowledge, and the experience that recovery is possible for everyone!
